💕 Valentine’s Day Poke Cake
A soft vanilla cake filled with sweet strawberry gelatin and topped with fluffy whipped frosting — perfect for Valentine’s Day!
🛒 Ingredients
Cake

1 box white or vanilla cake mix

Ingredients listed on box (usually eggs, oil, water)
Filling

1 box (3 oz) strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)

1 cup boiling water

½ cup cold water
Topping
-
1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
or 2 cups homemade whipped cream -
½ cup Valentine sprinkles

Fresh strawberries (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Bake the Cake

Prepare and bake cake in a 9×13-inch pan according to package directions.

Let cool for about 15–20 minutes (still slightly warm is best).
2️⃣ Poke & Fill

Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake (about 1 inch apart).

In a bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water.

Stir in ½ cup cold water.

Slowly pour gelatin evenly over the cake, letting it soak into the holes.
3️⃣ Chill

Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours (or overnight) until fully set.
4️⃣ Frost & Decorate

Spread whipped topping evenly over the cake.

Add Valentine sprinkles and fresh strawberries if desired.

Chill until ready to serve.
