Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

  • 2 cups Nacho Cheese Doritos, crushed fine

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Colby-Jack)

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled

  • ½ cup ranch dressing (or mayo for a thicker coating)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Cooking spray or a drizzle of oil

Optional upgrades

  • ½ tsp chili powder or cayenne for heat

  • Extra Doritos + cheese for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.

  2. Pound chicken to even thickness and season lightly with salt & pepper.

  3. In a bowl, mix ranch, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and optional heat.

  4. Press each chicken breast into the ranch mixture, coating well.

  5. Combine crushed Doritos, shredded cheese, and bacon in another bowl.

  6. Firmly press the chicken into the Dorito mixture, packing it on thick.

  7. Place on the baking sheet and lightly spray with oil.

  8. Bake 25–30 minutes, until chicken reaches 165°F and the crust is crispy.

  9. Optional: Broil 1–2 minutes at the end for extra crunch (watch closely).
