🧾 Ingredients

1 cup (225g) butter — soft

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup white sugar

2 large eggs

1½ tsp vanilla extract

1½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

2½ cups rolled oats

1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Optional: ½ cup raisins or white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line baking tray with paper.

Cream butter & sugars until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda & salt.

Combine dry ingredients into wet mixture.

Fold in oats and nuts (and optional add-ins).

Drop spoonfuls of dough onto tray.

Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

Cool on rack — they’ll stay soft and chewy.
