🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) butter — soft

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup white sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 2½ cups rolled oats

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

  • Optional: ½ cup raisins or white chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line baking tray with paper.

  2. Cream butter & sugars until light and fluffy.

  3. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.

  4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda & salt.

  5. Combine dry ingredients into wet mixture.

  6. Fold in oats and nuts (and optional add-ins).

  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto tray.

  8. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

  9. Cool on rack — they’ll stay soft and chewy.
