  • 3 cups Penne pasta (uncooked)

  • 2 cups Ricotta cheese

  • 3 cups Marinara sauce or Tomato sauce

  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella

  • ยฝ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 cups Chicken broth or Vegetable broth

  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and Black pepper to taste

  • Fresh Basil (optional for garnish)

  1. Prepare the slow cooker
    Lightly grease the slow cooker with oil or cooking spray.

  2. Add pasta
    Place the uncooked penne pasta in the bottom.

  3. Add cheese layers
    Spread the ricotta cheese over the pasta.

  4. Add sauce
    Pour the marinara or tomato sauce on top.

  5. Add liquids and seasoning
    Pour in chicken or vegetable broth and add garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  6. Cook

    • Cook on LOW for 2โ€“3 hours or HIGH for about 1โ€“1ยฝ hours.

    • Stir once halfway through so the pasta cooks evenly.

  7. Add final cheese
    Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top.

  8. Melt cheese
    Cover and cook another 10โ€“15 minutes until the cheese melts.
