🥟 Slow Cooker Buttered Pierogies
Ingredients

2 (16 oz) packages frozen potato & cheese pierogies

½ cup (1 stick / 113g) unsalted butter, cubed

1 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)

1 small onion, thinly sliced (optional but recommended)

½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
Salt to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Sour cream & chopped parsley for serving
Instructions
1️⃣ Layer
Spray slow cooker with nonstick spray.
Add frozen pierogies (no need to thaw).
Scatter sliced onions over top if using.
2️⃣ Add liquid & seasoning
Pour in chicken broth.
Sprinkle garlic powder and pepper over pierogies.
3️⃣ Add butter
Place cubed butter evenly over the top (like in the picture).
4️⃣ Cook

Low: 3–4 hours
-
High: 1½–2 hours
Pierogies should be heated through and tender.
5️⃣ Optional cheesy finish
Sprinkle cheddar on top during the last 20 minutes and cover until melted.
To Serve
Gently toss to coat in buttery sauce.
