All the flavors of a classic Philly cheesesteak — tender beef, sautéed peppers & onions, and lots of melty cheese — baked into an easy, comforting casserole.


🛒 Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs ground beef or thin-sliced sirloin

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 oz cream cheese

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • 6–8 slices provolone cheese

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (if using sliced steak)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cook beef

    • Brown ground beef (or sear sliced steak in olive oil).

    • Drain excess grease if needed.

  3. Add veggies

    • Stir in peppers, onion, and garlic.

    • Cook 4–5 minutes until softened.

  4. Make it creamy

    • Lower heat. Stir in Worcestershire, cream cheese, and sour cream.

    • Mix until smooth and creamy.

  5. Assemble

    • Spread mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish.

    • Top with mozzarella and layer provolone slices over the top.

  6. Bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Broil 2–3 minutes for golden browning (optional).


🍞 To Serve

  • As-is for a low-carb meal

  • Over toasted hoagie rolls

  • With garlic bread on the side
