Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake

Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake 🍫🥜

A dump cake is one of the easiest desserts you can make—just layer the ingredients in a pan and bake. This version is loaded with chocolate cake, peanut butter, and peanut butter cups for a rich, gooey dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (about 15.25 oz / 432 g)

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1½ cups milk

  • ½ cup melted butter

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

  • 1½ cups peanut butter cups (mini or chopped)

  • ½ cup chopped peanuts (optional)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

Optional toppings

  • Vanilla ice cream

  • Whipped cream

  • Chocolate syrup

Equipment

  • 9×13 inch baking dish

  • Mixing bowl

  • Spatula

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

2️⃣ Make Peanut Butter Base

In a bowl mix:

  • peanut butter

  • milk

  • vanilla extract

Stir until smooth and pour into the baking dish.

3️⃣ Add Cake Mix

Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the peanut butter mixture.

Do not mix — this is the “dump cake” method.

4️⃣ Add Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cups

Sprinkle on top:

  • chocolate chips

  • peanut butter cups

  • chopped peanuts (optional)

5️⃣ Add Butter

Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.

Try to cover as much dry mix as possible so it bakes evenly.

6️⃣ Bake

Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is set and slightly crispy while the inside stays gooey.

7️⃣ Cool Slightly

Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before serving.
