Ingredients

  • 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) Jello (any flavor you like)

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • ½ cup cold water (or ice water)

  • 1 cup whipped cream

    • Store-bought whipped topping or

    • Freshly whipped heavy cream (lightly sweetened)

  • Optional add-ins:

    • Fresh fruit (strawberries, mandarin oranges, pineapple — drained well)

    • Crushed cookies or graham crackers (for layering)

    • Mini marshmallows


Instructions

  1. Dissolve the Jello
    In a bowl, stir the Jello powder with 1 cup boiling water until completely dissolved.

  2. Cool it down
    Stir in ½ cup cold water.
    Let the mixture cool until it’s room temperature (important so it doesn’t melt the whipped cream).

  3. Fold in whipped cream
    Gently fold in the whipped cream until fully combined and fluffy.
    Don’t overmix — you want it airy!

  4. Add extras (optional)
    Fold in fruit or marshmallows if using.

  5. Chill
    Spoon into a serving dish or individual cups.
    Refrigerate for 2–3 hours, until set and mousse-like.
