Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli

Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 12 oz smoked sausage (Andouille or kielbasa), sliced

  • 3 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • ⅓ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional but great)

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the sauce
Whisk honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

  2. Cook the sausage
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add sausage and brown 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. Broccoli time
Add remaining oil. Toss in broccoli with a pinch of salt.
Cook 3–4 minutes until bright green and just tender. Remove.

  4. Shrimp
Add shrimp to skillet. Season lightly with salt & pepper.
Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.

  5. Bring it together
Return sausage and broccoli to skillet.
Pour in sauce and simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened and glossy.

  6. Serve
Spoon over rice, noodles, or eat straight from the pan (no judgment).

Optional Upgrades

  • Extra sticky: Add 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water to the sauce

  • Citrus pop: Finish with lemon juice or zest

  • Spicy: Drizzle sriracha or chili crisp

  • Low-carb: Serve as-is or over cauliflower rice

Pro Tips

  • Pat shrimp dry for better sear.

  • Don’t overcook shrimp—they turn rubbery fast.

  • Broccoli can be swapped for green beans, snap peas, or bell peppers.
