Homemade Pita Bread (Soft & Puffy)
Ingredients
For the dough

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp olive oil
Step 1: Activate the yeast

In a bowl, mix:

warm water

sugar

yeast
-

Let it sit 5β10 minutes until foamy.
Step 2: Make the dough

Add:

flour
-
salt
-
olive oil
-

Mix until dough forms.

Knead 8β10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Step 3: First rise

Place dough in an oiled bowl.

Cover and let it rise 1 hour until doubled.
Step 4: Shape

Divide dough into 8 balls.
