π₯£ Creamy Sausage Gravy
Ingredients

1 lb breakfast sausage (pork sausage works best)

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2β3 cups whole milk (adjust for thickness)

1/2 tsp black pepper (or to taste)

1/2 tsp salt (optional, depending on sausage)

Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of garlic powder
Instructions

Brown the sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until fully browned. Break it up into small crumbles as it cooks.
Do not drain the grease (unless thereβs an excessive amount β leave about 2β3 tablespoons). -
Add flour
Sprinkle the flour over the sausage. Stir well and cook for 1β2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste. -
Add milk slowly
Gradually pour in 2 cups of milk while stirring constantly. The mixture will begin to thicken. -
Simmer & adjust
Let it simmer for 5β10 minutes, stirring frequently, until thick and creamy.
Add more milk if it gets too thick. -
Season
Add black pepper and adjust salt to taste.
