Chocolate Pound Cake
Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1¾ cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs, room temperature

1 tsp vanilla extract

1¾ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

½ cup milk (or buttermilk)
Instructions

Prep
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
Grease and line a loaf or bundt pan. -
Cream butter & sugar
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3–4 minutes). -
Add eggs
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
Mix in vanilla. -
Dry ingredients
Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. -
Combine
Add dry ingredients to batter, alternating with milk.
Mix just until smooth—don’t overmix. -
Bake

Loaf pan: 60–70 minutes

Bundt pan: 50–60 minutes
Toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool
Cool 15 minutes in pan, then turn out onto a rack.

Heat cream until steaming, pour over chocolate, wait 2 minutes, stir smooth, then drizzle.
