500 g (1 lb) ground beef

4–5 medium potatoes, peeled and diced or thinly sliced

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced
Sauce / Flavor

1 cup beef broth

½ cup tomato sauce or marinara

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste
Cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella
-
1 cup cheddar cheese
Topping

2–3 green onions, chopped

1️⃣ Cook the beef

Heat a pan over medium heat.

Add ground beef and cook until browned.

Add chopped onion and garlic.

Cook for 3–4 minutes until fragrant.
2️⃣ Add seasoning
Stir in:

Paprika

Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper

Tomato sauce

Beef broth
Simmer 5 minutes.
3️⃣ Prepare potatoes

Slice or dice potatoes thin so they cook faster.

Lightly salt them.
4️⃣ Assemble casserole

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Grease a baking dish.

Layer half the potatoes on the bottom.

Add half the beef mixture.

Sprinkle some cheese.

Repeat layers.
Top with remaining cheese.
5️⃣ Bake

Cover with foil.

Bake 35 minutes.

Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
