  • 500 g (1 lb) ground beef

  • 4–5 medium potatoes, peeled and diced or thinly sliced

Sauce / Flavor

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • ½ cup tomato sauce or marinara

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cheese

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese

Topping

  • 2–3 green onions, chopped

1️⃣ Cook the beef

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat.

  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned.

  3. Add chopped onion and garlic.

  4. Cook for 3–4 minutes until fragrant.


2️⃣ Add seasoning

  • Paprika

  • Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper

  • Tomato sauce

  • Beef broth

Simmer 5 minutes.


3️⃣ Prepare potatoes

  • Slice or dice potatoes thin so they cook faster.

  • Lightly salt them.


4️⃣ Assemble casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Grease a baking dish.

  3. Layer half the potatoes on the bottom.
