Biscuits and Gravy Casserole
Ingredients

1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits, quartered

4 tbsp all-purpose flour

3 cups whole milk

1 tsp black pepper (more to taste)

½ tsp garlic powder

Salt to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional but 🔥)
Optional add-ins:

Scrambled eggs

Crumbled bacon

Red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Cook the sausage

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up.

Do not drain all the fat (leave ~2 tbsp).
2. Make the gravy

Sprinkle flour over sausage; stir and cook 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in milk.

Add pepper and garlic powder.

Simmer until thick and creamy (3–5 minutes).

Taste and adjust salt.
3. Assemble

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Add biscuit pieces evenly.

Pour sausage gravy over biscuits.

Sprinkle cheese on top if using.
4. Bake

Bake uncovered 30–35 minutes until biscuits are cooked through and top is golden.

If browning too fast, loosely cover with foil.
