Ingredients

  • 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix (dry)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional but recommended)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

Optional:

  • Fresh parsley (for serving)


Instructions (Slow Cooker)

  1. Layer chicken in the slow cooker.

  2. Sprinkle Italian dressing mix evenly over the chicken.

  3. In a bowl, whisk together:

    • Cream cheese

    • Cream of chicken soup

    • Chicken broth

    • Garlic powder & pepper

  4. Pour sauce over chicken.

  5. Dot with butter on top.

  6. Cook:

    • LOW for 5–6 hours

    • or HIGH for 3–4 hours

  7. Stir sauce gently before serving.


How to Serve

  • Over angel hair pasta (classic)

  • Over mashed potatoes

  • With rice

  • Or spooned over roasted veggies


Low-Carb / Keto Version (Still Super Creamy)

Swap:

  • Cream of chicken soup → ½ cup heavy cream

  • Add ½ cup chicken broth

  • Optional: ¼ tsp xanthan gum to thicken

  • Roasted broccoli
