Ingredients

  • 5–6 thick pork chops (bone-in or boneless)

  • 5–6 tbsp brown sugar

  • 5–6 tbsp butter, cubed

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Optional but great:

    • ½ tsp garlic powder

    • ½ tsp paprika

    • Pinch thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
    Lightly grease a baking dish.

  2. Season pork chops
Sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
Arrange chops in a single layer.

  3. Top with sugar & butter
Spoon about 1 tbsp brown sugar onto each chop.
Place a cube of butter right on top (just like the photo).

  4. Bake uncovered
Bake for 30–35 minutes, until pork reaches 145°F (63°C) internally and sauce is bubbling.

  5. Optional glaze step
Spoon pan juices over chops and broil 2–3 minutes for extra caramelization.

  6. Rest & serve
Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Serve With

  • Mashed potatoes

  • Green beans

  • Roasted carrots
