Slow-Cooker Creamy Pork Chops

here’s a slow-cooked pork chops recipe that turns out fork-tender, wrapped in a rich, creamy sauce you’ll want to spoon over everything.

Slow-Cooker Creamy Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4–6 bone-in or boneless pork chops (¾–1 inch thick)

  • Salt & black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for searing, optional but recommended)

Creamy Sauce

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • ½ cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)

  • 1 packet onion soup mix or

    • 1 tsp dried onion flakes

    • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried thyme or parsley

Optional add-ins:

  • Sliced mushrooms

  • Thin-sliced onions

  • Baby spinach (added at the end)

Instructions

1. Season & sear (optional but flavorful)

  • Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

  • Sear in a hot skillet with olive oil, 2–3 minutes per side, just until golden.

  • Transfer to slow cooker.

(Short on time? You can skip searing—still delicious.)

2. Make the creamy sauce

In a bowl, whisk together:

  • Cream of mushroom soup

  • Chicken broth

  • Heavy cream

  • Onion soup mix (or seasoning substitutes)

  • Thyme or parsley

Pour over pork chops.

3. Slow cook to tenderness

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours

  • Pork should be ultra-tender and practically fall apart.

4. Finish & serve

  • Taste and adjust seasoning.

  • Stir in spinach if using and let it wilt.

  • Spoon that creamy sauce generously over the chops.

Best Served With

  • Mashed potatoes 🥔

  • Egg noodles

  • Rice

  • Buttered green beans or peas

Pro Comfort Tips

  • Bone-in chops stay juicier for long cooking

  • Want extra richness? Add 2 tbsp cream cheese at the end

  • Sauce too thin? Remove lid and cook 20 minutes longer on HIGH
