Ingredients
For the steaks

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

1/3 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp oil or butter (for frying)
For the onion gravy

1 medium onion, sliced
-
2 tbsp butter
-
2 tbsp flour
-
2 cups beef broth
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions

Make the patties
-
In a bowl mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire.

Form into 3β4 thick patties.

Cook

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Cook patties 4β5 minutes per side until browned.

Remove and set aside.

Make gravy
-
In the same pan add butter and sliced onions.

Cook until onions soften and brown (about 5 minutes).

Stir in flour and cook 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.

Simmer until thick.

Return patties to the pan and simmer in gravy 10 minutes.

Ingredients

2 lbs potatoes (Yukon gold or russet)

4 tbsp butter

1/2 cup milk or cream

Salt & pepper

Optional: 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions

Peel and cube potatoes.

Boil in salted water 15β20 minutes until soft.

Drain and mash.

Mix in butter, milk, salt, pepper, and sour cream.

Top with gravy from the hamburger steaks.

Ingredients

1 lb fresh green beans (trimmed)

3 slices bacon
-
1/2 onion chopped
-
1 cup chicken broth
-
Salt & pepper
Instructions

Cook bacon in a pan until crispy.

Remove bacon but keep the fat.

Cook onion in bacon fat until soft.

Add green beans and chicken broth.
-
Simmer 20β25 minutes until tender.

Add crumbled bacon back in.
π Soft Dinner Rolls (Quick Version)
Ingredients

2 1/4 tsp yeast

1 cup warm milk
-
3 tbsp sugar
-
3 tbsp butter (melted)

1 egg
-
3 cups flour
-
1 tsp salt
Instructions

Mix yeast, warm milk, and sugar. Let sit 5 minutes.

Add egg, butter, flour, and salt.

Knead until smooth.

Let rise 1 hour.

Shape into rolls and place in baking pan.

Bake at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 15β18 minutes.
