Homemade Grape Gummy Candy (Grapes Jujubes)
Ingredients
-
1½ cups fresh grape juice (from blended & strained grapes, or 100% juice)
-
2–3 tbsp sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
-
2 tbsp lemon juice (brightens flavor)
-
3 tbsp unflavored gelatin powder
-
Optional: a pinch of salt (makes the grape flavor pop)
Instructions
-
Bloom the gelatin
Pour ½ cup cold grape juice into a bowl. Sprinkle gelatin evenly over the top. Let sit 5–10 minutes until spongy. -
Heat the juice
In a saucepan, heat the remaining 1 cup grape juice with sugar (or honey) and lemon juice over low heat. Warm—don’t boil. -
Combine
Add bloomed gelatin to the warm juice. Whisk gently until fully dissolved and smooth. -
Mold
Pour into silicone gummy molds or a lightly greased glass dish. -
Set
Refrigerate 2–3 hours, or until firm. -
Unmold & enjoy
Pop out gummies or cut into cubes (jujube-style).
Texture & Flavor Tweaks
