Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 4 large eggs

  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • Powdered sugar (optional, for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven

    • Set oven to 350°F (175°C).

    • Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.

  2. Mix wet ingredients

    • In a large bowl whisk together:

      • sugar

      • melted butter

      • eggs

      • lemon juice

      • lemon zest

      • vanilla.

  3. Add dry ingredients

    • Stir in flour and salt until smooth.

  4. Add milk

    • Slowly whisk in the milk until the batter is thin and smooth.

  5. Bake

    • Pour batter into the baking dish.

    • Bake 40–45 minutes until the top is golden and slightly firm.

  6. Cool

    • Let cool 15–20 minutes before serving.
