Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk (not hot)

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp instant yeast

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp oil or melted butter


Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast
    Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  2. Make the dough
    Add flour, salt, and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.

  3. Knead
    Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    (A little sticky is okay—don’t over-flour.)

  4. First rise
    Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.

  5. Shape
    Punch down, shape into a small round or loaf that fits your air fryer basket or pan.

  6. Second rise
    Let it rest 20 minutes.

  7. Air fry

    • Preheat air fryer to 320°F (160°C)

    • Place dough in a greased, air-fryer-safe pan

    • Cook 12–15 minutes

    • Flip carefully and cook another 5–7 minutes until golden

  8. Cool
    Brush with butter if you’re feeling fancy. Cool before slicing (hardest step).
