🧁 Ingredients

For the bread pudding:

  • 6 cups day-old bread, cubed (French bread or brioche works best)

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • Optional: ½ cup raisins or chopped pecans

For the vanilla cream sauce:

  • ½ cup butter

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

1️⃣ Prepare the pudding

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  3. Place cubed bread in the dish.

  4. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter.

  5. Pour mixture evenly over bread. Press bread down gently so it absorbs liquid.

  6. Let sit 10–15 minutes.

  7. Bake for 40–50 minutes until golden and set in the center.

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

  2. Stir in sugar and cream.
