Soft Pan-Fried Flatbread with Butter & Condensed Milk

Ingredients (Makes 6–8 flatbreads)

For the dough:

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon oil or melted butter

  • ~¾ cup (180ml) warm water (add gradually)

For topping:

  • Butter (as desired)

  • Sweetened condensed milk


Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.

  2. Add oil/melted butter and mix.

  3. Gradually add warm water while mixing until a soft dough forms.

  4. Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth.

  5. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.

2. Shape

  1. Divide dough into 6–8 equal balls.

  2. Roll each ball into a thin round (like a tortilla or crepe thickness).

3. Cook

  1. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat (no oil needed, or lightly grease).

  2. Cook each flatbread about 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown spots appear.

  3. Stack and keep covered with a clean towel to stay soft.

4. Serve

  • Spread a generous piece of butter on the hot flatbread.

  • Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the top.

  • Fold or roll and enjoy warm.
