🍇 1. Classic Fruit Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup flour

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • 2 cups mixed candied fruit

  • 1 cup raisins

  • 1 cup chopped nuts

  • ¼ cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. Cream butter & sugar. Add eggs one at a time.

  3. Mix dry ingredients separately.

  4. Fold dry ingredients into batter.

  5. Stir in fruit, nuts, and juice.

  6. Pour into greased 8-inch pan.

  7. Bake 1½–2 hours. Cool completely before slicing.

Cake Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup butter

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3)

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 1 tsp vanilla

Frosting

  • 8 oz cream cheese

  • ½ cup butter

  • 3 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes (two 8-inch pans).

  2. Beat frosting ingredients until fluffy.

  3. Cool cake completely before frosting.

Peanut Frosting

  • ½ cup butter

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • 3 cups powdered sugar

  • 3–4 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes.

  2. Beat frosting until smooth and spreadable.

  3. Garnish with chopped peanuts.

Cake Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (or homemade chocolate cake)

  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

  • Ingredients listed on cake mix box

Frosting

  • 1 cup butter

  • 4 cups powdered sugar

  • 2–3 tbsp milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 cup crushed Oreos

Instructions

  1. Prepare chocolate cake batter; fold in crushed Oreos.

  2. Bake according to box directions.

  3. Beat frosting ingredients until fluffy.

  4. Frost cake and top with whole Oreos.
