Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Foil Potatoes

🥔 Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Foil Potatoes

🛒 Ingredients

  • 2–3 lbs baby potatoes (Yukon gold or red)

  • 6 tbsp melted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried parsley)

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar (optional)

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional)

  • Fresh parsley for garnish

🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep Potatoes

  • Wash and dry baby potatoes.

  • Leave whole (halve only if large).

2️⃣ Make Garlic Butter

In a bowl mix:

  • Melted butter

  • Garlic

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Italian seasoning

  • Paprika

3️⃣ Wrap

  • Cut squares of heavy-duty foil.

  • Place 2–3 potatoes in each square.

  • Spoon garlic butter over them.

  • If using cheese, sprinkle a little inside each packet.

  • Seal tightly into small foil bundles.

4️⃣ Slow Cook

  • Lightly spray slow cooker.

  • Arrange foil packets inside.

  • Cover and cook:

    • High: 3–4 hours

    • Low: 5–6 hours

Potatoes are done when fork tender.

5️⃣ Finish

  • Carefully open packets.

  • Sprinkle Parmesan and parsley on top.

  • Serve directly in foil or transfer to platter.

💡 Tips

  • For crispy edges: open packets and broil 5 minutes.

  • Add bacon bits before sealing for loaded style.

  • Add ranch seasoning for extra flavor.

  • Don’t add water to the slow cooker — the potatoes steam in their own moisture.

🧀 Loaded Version Option

Add inside each packet:

  • Shredded cheddar

  • Cooked bacon

  • Green onions

  • Dollop of sour cream after cooking

If you’d like, I can also give you:

  • Oven version

  • Campfire version

  • Air fryer version

  • Or a cheesy ranch party-potato version 😊
